Located just 5 miles from Bowdoin College, this spacious 1920 farmhouse features both original charm and tasteful updates like the bright kitchen with stainless steel appliances.  The house sleeps 10 comfortably in the three large bedrooms, and there is room to entertain many more with the interior and exterior living areas.  The home sits on over 13 acres, which includes a pond, open yard space and woods, and a deeded walking right of way to Maquoit Bay! 
 
The covered front porch, which runs the entire length of the home, invites you to relax with a beverage or book, or enjoy some conversation with friends and family.   Inside you'll find a recently renovated kitchen that is bright and airy, full bath, washer/dryer, a breakfast nook that seats 4, dining room with seating for 8, and large open living room.  There's also a screened in porch off the living room, which offers another dining option as well as additional seating areas.
 
Upstairs, you'll find a large master bedroom with king-sized bed and a private sun-filled atrium and access to a deck over the garage.  There is also access to a full bath through the atrium.  The other two bedrooms feature multiple beds, perfect for large families, and a shared full bath.
 
Its size and proximity to Brunswick makes The Red House an ideal location for families visiting the area for Bowdoin events, like Graduation and Reunion weekends.  You're certain to appreciate the privacy afforded by such an extensive property, and yet you're just a short drive from the college and Maine Street!  If you'd like to bring a boat, Paul's Marina and the Mere Point Boat Launch are just over a mile away from The Red House.

We stayed at the Red House with another family - 10 people - and we had a fabulous time. The house is much larger than it appears in the pictures and the land is huge - perfect for kids to explore and have fun. The Red House if spotless - by far the cleanest house we have ever rented. We will definitely come back!
